Why I love my 70-200 mm 2.8L lens

If I had to shoot a whole wedding with one lens, I am not sure if I would choose my 50 1.4 or my 24-70 or my 70-200 mm lens. One thing is for sure, with these three I am happy and have the event covered. Sure I will bring out my 100mm macro on occasion or my 16-35 mm lens and maybe even my 300mm L lens,(which few wedding shooters will carry) but my 24-70, 50 1.4 and my 70-200 are the bread and butter workhorses of my day at weddings. I especially love my 70-200 on a full frame sensor as it gives me a wide enough angle for small groups, yet still zooms far. I think it is one of my fastest focusing lenses. It also maintains amazing sharpness in the middle right from 2.8. It can get soft edges at 2.8, but I am normally trying to get soft edges at 2.8 and blur away those annoying backgrounds you have to shoot around at weddings sometimes. Here are some pics with my 70-200 mm lens. It’s good from portraits, to details and action as you can see. I also love how it can compress a scene.
