One of the huge advantages of being a professional photographer is how many good family photos I have of my own kids and family. It has its drawbacks. The toughest part of any holiday for me is deciding what camera gear to pack. I always want to have the right gear to get good shots, but not too much gear to get in the way of vacation time. It’s hard to enjoy the beach when you know you left several thousand dollars of equipment in the car in a strange place. That being said, I love photography and any chance to shoot, so my poor family has just accepted that whatever they do I’m gonna shoot it.
These are a few random shots of my daughter and her puppy daisy in the snow the other day. I was editing a wedding, and saw them head outside, so I grabbed my trusty Canon 5D mk3 and my 70-200mm 2.8L IS lens and fired a few shots. Hope you like them.
